Il Cardinale: website and custom features
Projects · 2016
Il Cardinale’s project began in 2016 with Davide Pregnolato and continues with MTOweb today. Starting as the restaurant’s website, it expanded to features supporting communications and restaurant operations.

A website that evolves with the restaurant’s offering
The first part of the project was a custom CMS website, built in 2016 by the founder and now supported by MTOweb. The restaurant needed an online presence and a platform for updating offers and events.
Alongside content management, we worked on Schema.org and Open Graph, considering search and social sharing of new offers. The connection to TheFork supports the booking journey.
When the CMS supports restaurant operations too
Over time, the CMS was extended with specific features. Offers can lead to coupon printing on a non-fiscal thermal printer; an archive brings together recipes, photographs, drawings and preparation procedures, alongside warehouse features.
These developments connect public communications to selected restaurant operations, built in response to its requests.
A relationship through the project’s evolution
The website continues to receive hosting and support. Alongside it is the IoT project for kitchen equipment, described separately because it addresses another need: collecting information produced by appliances.
Continuity of collaboration connects these developments, from the restaurant’s first pages to tools developed over time.
